Jennifer Juarez is a doctoral student in the Educational Psychology department at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Her research interests include understanding non-cognitive skills of Latin@ students in higher education, peer and parent support, social capital development, and Latino Critical Race Theory.
Currently, Juarez is an assistant director at the Latin American Recruitment and Educational Services (LARES) Program at UIC. Her work has been defined by facilitating access to higher education in Latin@ communities in the K-12 setting. Juarez serves on several post-secondary committees at UIC, Chicago Public Schools, non-profit organizations in Chicago.
